Oct 07, 2026 GO Bond 3 Will Provide $5 Million for NNMC Campus Revitalization Without Raising Property Taxes This fall, voters in Rio Arriba County will be asked to invest in the state’s public colleges, universities and specialty schools. Higher Education General Obligation Bond 3 (referred to as GO Bond 3) is asking voters to approve more than $351.57 million to fund needed renovations, upgrades and replacement of outdated, aging facilities. Voting "yes" on GO Bond 3 will not increase property tax rates.

Jul 17, 2026 NNMC Dual Credit program helps Aspen Coriz-Romero launch a successful career Aspen Coriz-Romero is a dual credit success story from Northern New Mexico College (NNMC). She graduated from Española Valley High School (EVHS) in 2020, earning an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts degree from Northern at the same time. She went on to complete a bachelor’s degree at Southwestern University, receive a fellowship from the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., and is now a fellow with the New Mexico Rural Library Initiative.
